FINANCIAL JOURNEY

This is a four session class about managing your household finances in a healthy way.  Topics covered will include budgeting, eliminating debt, and building an emergency fund.  

The class will be taught by Berea Baptist member, Michael Greisz.  Michael is 62 years old and earned an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Arts. He is a graduate of the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University, where he served as Class President.  Michael has also completed 2 years of study toward an MBA and has completed the Dave Ramsey Master Financial Coaching training.

Michael is a former US Army Military Police Investigator. He is now retired from 20 years of law enforcement, where he served over 10 years as a Chief of Police. In that role, Michael served on multiple committees and boards that were responsible for budgets in excess of millions of dollars.

Michael has taught college level students as an adjunct instructor, and has also served as a substitute teacher in public schools from 2nd grade through high school.

Michael and his wife, Julie, and have 7 kids (3 biological and 4 adopted!). They moved to Berea last year, after their grandson was born in Lexington.
